Hosts earn by renting out their extra space to housemates through Sparrow. You set the price for your space and receive monthly rental income.
To be eligible, hosts must be at least 18 years old, verify their ID, and either own the property or have permission from the landlord to rent out the space listed on Sparrow.
Pricing depends on your location, size, and amenities. Sparrow's proprietary pricing tool considers these factors to recommend a competitive rate for your space.
Homesharing is a living arrangement where a housemate rents a room in an owner-occupied home and shares a kitchen and/or washroom with the owner of the property.
There is a one-time membership initiation fee of half a month's rent per bedroom and a 5% monthly fee deducted from collected rent. The $25 fee to list each bedroom is waived for a limited time. Sparrow only earns when you do.
Sparrow verifies identities, conducts background and credit checks, and provides customizable homeshare agreements for added security.
Sparrow's homeshare agreements provide flexibility, allowing either side to end the arrangement with 30 days' notice.
